A Look at the Technology
- EQS offers a new coating technology, an epoxidized allyl soyate (EAS) coating, which will be used to replace Bisphenol-A (BPA) in a wide variety of applications. EQS-EAS Coating is compatible with cross-linkers and capable of forming coatings that match the performance of BPA-based coatings.
- With a strong technology position in BPA-NI coatings, EQS is positioning itself to become a market leader in bio-based resin coatings.
- EQS-EAS Coating has been successfully tested by large global packaging manufacturers and food and beverage companies, and has attracted worldwide interest in licensing the technology.
- Freedom to operate worldwide with sufficient barrier: EQS holds exclusive global Intellectual Property rights to both patented and non-patented uses of the EAS resin, a proprietary technology developed at Missouri Science & Technology (MS&T).

Our Technology
EQS offers a blended bio-based multifunctional fatty ester epoxy blend for adhesives, composites and coatings with a real value stream and more benefits vs. ESO as fatty glycerol ester groups offered by competitors. In its present configuration, EAS is applied as a high-solids spray replacement for BPA for direct/indirect food contact use but it can also be applied as a water-borne, spray-applied replacement for epoxy coating systems.
